Do Dead Bodies Sit up?

How to Accurately Portray Death and Funerals

In this live webinar for writers, I provide fundamental knowledge about dead bodies and mortuary procedures to help authors portray death accurately in their work. Attendees will learn about death processes and funeral preparation, including autopsies, embalming, methods of getting rid of a body, and ways to create problems for characters.

After taking this class, attendees will know proper postmortem terminology, stages of decomposition, and how to avoid myths and misinformation. Note: the conversation may be graphic to some, but there are no gruesome images on the slides.

The presentation moves briskly to allow the webinar and 15 minute Q&A to fall within a typical one hour time frame. I include a PDF of my slides plus a 30+ page handout detailing everything I say. This is a bonus feature that enables attendees to sit back, enjoy, and become inspired rather than frantically scribbling notes.

Please inquire about fees, longer time slots, and information targeted to specific genres. I can tailor my presentation to suit your needs (ex. focus on topics relevant to historical fiction).
